(Rangeley, Maine – December 4, 2024)
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Paul Reynolds, our board president, esteemed colleague, and dear friend, on November 14, 2024, following his courageous battle with brain cancer.
As president, Paul exemplified a level of leadership that few achieve. When he took the reins in 2016, succeeding our visionary founder, he quietly and effectively laid the groundwork for a sustainable, high-achieving organization.
Through both triumphs and challenges, Paul’s clear, compassionate, and pragmatic guidance became a steadying force for RLHT. Paul’s dedication to people and his community was unparalleled. He fostered unity in an era often marked by division, helping the RLHT board find common ground and achieve consensus on nearly every decision. His ability to navigate complex dynamics with wisdom and grace was a hallmark of his leadership. Paul leaves behind an enduring legacy and a solid institutional foundation that we are committed to building upon. He reinforced our collective purpose, reminding us to work together for a mission greater than ourselves.
We mourn his loss deeply, extend our heartfelt condolences to his loving family, and will strive to honor his extraordinary example in all that we do.
A celebration of life will be held on December 14, 2024, at 2 PM at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley, Maine. All are invited to a reception immediately following at Portage Tap House. Read the obituary and learn how to make a contribution in Paul’s name.
