About Us
Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust is a nonprofit organization organized under the laws of the State of Maine and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Eligibility
By using this Site, you represent that:

Donations & Payments
- Tax-Deductibility Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Contributions to RLHT are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a donation unless explicitly stated (such as certain event registrations or merchandise purchases), in which case the tax-deductible portion of your contribution will be disclosed in your receipt. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your contribution. We will provide an acknowledgment or receipt for qualifying donations in accordance with IRS requirements.
- Refund Policy for Donations Donations are generally considered final and non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error (for example, an incorrect amount or duplicate transaction), please contact us at info@rlht.org within 14 days of the transaction date. We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis and, if approved, issue a refund to the original method of payment.
- Recurring Donations & Membership If you enroll in a recurring donation program, you authorize RLHT to charge your selected payment method automatically on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually) in the amount you select. Your recurring donation will continue until you cancel it. You may cancel or modify your recurring donation at any time by contacting us at info@rlht.org.
- Payment Processing Payments made through the Site are processed securely by third-party payment processors. RLHT does not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on its servers. By submitting your payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. You authorize RLHT and its third-party payment processor to charge the full amount of your transaction (including recurring charges, if applicable). All payment transactions are subject to validation checks and authorization by your financial institution. RLHT is not responsible for processing delays or declined transactions caused by your payment provider.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with the Site’s functionality or security.
